This crazy quilt has been in my family since the late 1800's. The year,1891, is embroidered in one of the blocks, along with the unfinished word or name Hestre and Grif. The married name of my great, great grandmother was Griffith; we assume that this is what Grif stands for. More than likely though, the quilt was a joint effort of several people. However, we do not have any real information about it other than what is embroidered on it.

We assume that this quilt was made by my maternal great grandmother. However, there is no documentation so 
we cannot be sure. It is the traditional Grandmother's Flower Garden done in 1930's prints.
